Lancelot Blackthorne was the thirdborn son of Malcolm Blackthorne by his third wife, Megara of Brecilidia. Lancelot was born in exile as his cousin Lucas had killed Malcolm and seized control of House Blackthorne. He was raised among his mother's High Elf family in their homeland of Brecilidia, and frequently visited the court of King Argiliac I. When he grew to manhood he returned to the Thunderlands and found Lucas dead. He assumed control of the family thereafter, supported by the Brecilidians, and ruled peacefully from 436AE to his death of High Elven rot in 477AE; he was succeeded by his firstborn son and heir, Gerold Blackthorne.
